The negative: Both Kovalchuk and De Haan will want more than 1 yr contracts. Stastny will want more than 2 yrs.
The positive: You have very good strength down the middle. Finally somebody places Danault where he should be and that is 3rd line C. You did not bite on the emotional temptation to bring back Plecky and decided to go with De La Rose that is 14 yrs younger, 4 inches taller and 15 pounds heavier. You are one of the few that sees Petry as what he is. A very inconsistent D-man with brutal d-zone coverage. You also resisted the temptation to trade Patch, a proven 30 goal scorer with 5 good yrs left in him. So, pretty good moves.

There's only one notable problem I see here, but it's kind of a big one - last I checked, Faulk is available if and only if what is returned for him improves the Canes' situation at C (they need someone better than Aho/Rask), and that's not something Montreal can provide as they're even worse off in that regard.
