Description

Trading Trouba and Connor to Arizona along with Steve mason to free up cap in the next few years, Arizona gets a good package in a 20 goal scorer and a very good right handed d, the jets replace their back up with a cheaper option and Arizona is willing to take on Masons contract in order to get both Trouba and Connor.
Vesalainen should be able to pickup a spot in the top six and replace Connor after putting up elite numbers in the finish elite. OEL agrees to sign a 5 years 7 mil per in order for trade to work.
The jets then can afford to resign Hellebuyck, Morrissey, and all other pieces.
Next year when Laines contract is up they can ship out kulikov and replace him with a young and promising Sami Niku who is leading the AHL in Defenseman scoring.
This move will help set up a promising cap situation for the future of the franchise

????? In effect you're just getting one year of OEL for Trouba and Connor. Big overpayment for Jets. Why are worried about the cap in 2019/20. Mason will be gone and you can always trade Trouba at some time. Trouba certainly isn't signing a long term contract without some NTC restrictions, certainly not go to Arizona.

is like hutch to back up too but I feel like he’s gonna test the waters in free agency as Winnipeg has shown they will play the start 60-70 games a year

I don't think I would do Trouba for OEL straight up without an extension for OEL, far less adding in Trouba. Just doesn't make sense.

Forget OEL
1) Try to sign Carlson instead
2) Trade Trouba to get into the top 10 of this years draft, potentially a D that could step in right away and is cost controled for the future
3) Come and get Alzner from Mtl, we'll give him to you for FREE. We'll throw in MB, CJ and a couple of wireless charger that Amazon keeps showing me on Capfriendly

No way is Ekman-Larsson signing for $7 million? He's already making $5.5 million and is looking for a ig payday. I see Ekman-Larsson looking for around either $8 Million or $8.5 million and no way will Trouba commit long term with Arizona. So I doubt Arizona does this and besides it sounds like OEL wants to stay in the States he might sign long term with Toronto but that's the only Canadian city i see him committing to.
