Patrick Sharp is pretty much a 4th liner at this point not not worth anything near 3 million, the Hawks signed him this past summer for $800,000 + incentives.

Signing Sharpie to play 4th line minutes and as a locker room guy would be a step in the right direction tho... Edmonton needs players that know how to win and have won Cups.

I think Klefbom for Galchenyuk straight up would be closer value. But I don’t know why would make your defence that much worst, got to trade from a strength to upgrade a weakness. That trade is just a weakness for another weakness.

I also think you could grab a better suited winger from MTL for a cheaper price tag. Like Paul Byron or Charles Hudon, both fast skilled wingers who don’t mind the dirty places. They could keep up to Mcdavid and they both have an eye for the net.
