Description

The answer? A top LHD. This is something that can be done thru free agency or via trade. Now i don’t know whose out there on the market to take on a top line d role. Rick Nash should be kept around i think on the right deal and that’s a one year stint, if you gotta pay him a little extra to take the one year offer this would be a good year to do it. I assume either mcquaid or Miller is shipped out this summer to free up some extra space. Krug is expendable but he most likely isn’t going anywhere which i don’t completely love or hate. Donato/jfk battle it out for the last spot on this team, and bjork well idk what’s gonna happen with him. He probably slides into the 3rd line lw if Rick Nash doesn’t come back. Lmk what you guys think. Kind of a boring post but would like to hear what LHD the Don should target

1 - Grzelyk is re-signed. He's going to play at left D, because;
2 - no 'top D' is available at that price except by trade. I think Chara or another D, not both.
3 - Nash needs more than that for a 1 year- and not sure it's a good idea for the Bruins to pay him more in either $ or years. Bjork or Donato into that spot. Or whichever of the 4 or 5 other guys who are almost there earn it next fall. I would like Nash at 4 for 1 other than the prospect line needing to keep moving.
4- I like Khudobin at that price.
