Montreal Pre Draft

Description
Montreal has two problems: 1) Depth at center and 2) they have 4 bottom pairing D starting

Most people are suggesting that they trade Patioretty for a center and draft a D. However unless theyre projected to finish 3-4 in the draft and the only D in the top 5 are Dahlin (1) and Bouchard/Boqvist/Hughes are all close at 5th

My projected Draft: 1. Dahlin 2. Zadina 3. Svechnikov 4. Tkachuck 5. Bouchard

I think they should draft their best available player (who will likely be a winger) trade Plek for a D prospect and trade Patioretty for a D and Center

I'd probably like to see all of these trades. I think, realistically, the only one close to being balanced is the Blues deal.

Calgary would be nuts to make that deal unless Max were signed for another 5 years.

Pens would probably like to have Pleks but not for a swap of picks AND two players.

Every team has problems but those are their glaring problems... no mobility on the back to actually defend and make a breakout pass and no Center’s that play a good two way game... lots of talent on the wings and in net

Depth at center is less of a concern that an actual #1 center. Not sure I'd agree that there's "lots of talent" on the wings. There is some, but let's not kid ourselves, Montreal needs a hard and full rebuild here. If there were only a couple pieces away, which they are not, they wouldn't even consider trading their captain and only really valuable asset they have to work with at the moment. Montreal's defense will also be a work in progress for some years, even if those proposed moves you've made actually happened.
