SidStick, because I respect you, I will give you one last update before I leave CapFriendly.

-The Penguins are heavily interested in Domi. They’ve had multiple calls over the last few weeks regarding Domi. JR is trying to get it done by Monday, but JR thinks he will have to do it in Summer.

-Since JR thinks that Domi will be a Summer target, he is heavily interested in Brassard. He has given an offer to Dorion and a deadline to accept the offer. Belief is that the base of the offer is Sprong, Gustavsson, 1st. If you saw the Dreger tweet about Brassard and the Penguin, it is a SOS from Dorion. Dorion *probably* told Dreger that so that other teams step up their offers. No team wants the Penguins to improve.

-I’ve heard Mark Barberio as a rental defensemen IF Hunwick is traded.

Why are you leaving?

I like all the trades, but I don't see any chance to a big rival like Rangers trade Grabner to us. They don't need to, cause I'm sure there will be another teams chasing him. Ducks, Kings and Predators are good fit for him and none of them are Rangers rivals.

Kessel isn’t being shopped. If he’s traded, it’s because a team gave up a lot more than anticipated. Like for example, if LA offers Muzzin and Toffoli, no way JR says no. But if LA offers Prospect, Middle 6 winger, and their 1st, JR says no. A Kessel trade WILL improve the current roster, which to the point. There is nothing behind the Kessel to ARI for Domi rumors even though it makes sense. Imo, A Domi trade would either look like Sheary or Rust with a prospect(Bellerive?) or a pick.

Also, Letang isn’t getting traded unless the current roster gets upgrade. JR is here for the Crosby/Malkin era and gives no shits about what happens after words. Aka, don’t expect to have our 1st round pick for a couple of years

Thats what ive been thinking too, bc that was what GMJR did with those first comments was to get the word out .... "that hey make ur best deal and we could talk about Kessel" and then covered his ass today by saying what he said, so if they do not trade Kessel. And I was also thinking that Domi would NOT be involved in Kessel deal unless it was a crazy 3-team trade. But Ive been seeing Pens fans on Twitter saying Domi is not the type of player Pens need??? And I dont get it?? I love the dude and think he would become a F'n rock star here and a fan fav for how he plays the game.

I am in agreement with everything u said tho, and im all about keeping Tanger and burning down all our prospects and all our draft picks for the next 3-4 yrs .... then hey its the NHL, u need to suck for a 3yr stretch and do a total rebuild.

Here’s a quick keynote: When Malkin/Letang rumors appeared, JR himself said no way. These Kessel rumors have been going on for weeks and all JR has said is that he doesn’t need to trade Kessel. Makes you think.
