Saddled by ridiculous contracts u get rid of the only ones u can.... not gonna want to resign Nyquist in 2019 and nobody but Saarijarvi would fit long term.... and he’s boom or bust that u need to include to get Fabbro. TB 1st rounder is prob the 31st overall so basically a 2nd rounder. Retaining salary helps Stevie make other moves. Toronto needs depth and Babcock loved LGD and XO. LGD salary gone is a small win. Philly needs a goalie now and he’s RFA and they have 2 1st rounders this year so a 2nd there I can see. End result is former 1st Rounder Fabbro (potential top pairing D) and 3 more good picks so u have 8 in the first 3 rounds

I think its a good plan. Id love to move Neilson or ericsson and grudgingly tatar if it gets a bit of salary flexibility. Mantha AA and larkin will cost to resign. I dont think any move keeps holland in his job and honestly he shouldn't have it anymore. The wings take care of their own to a fault so im sure kenny will be taken care of but we need the wings of the future.

The Flyers have already rejected Mrazek for a 3rd rounder, so a 2nd wouldn't work.

I don't see Philly doing that (as Wingsfan mentioned), and I think that's an overpayment for Fabbro. Keep Saarijarvi out of the trade. Otherwise, not terrible. It'd be cool to get more back for Green, but this might be fair.
