OTT-STL Brassard

Créé par: TkachukNorris79

Description
Is this too much from STL? Initially I thought so but it helps STL now without affecting their roster. Fabbri has high potential but the 2 knee surgeries at only 22 is scary. Kyrou is a top prospect.

The sens retain 1 million of his cap, which is only $700,000 in real dollars next year (we care about real dollars more than cap). Add Max McCormick to offset that retained salary.

Maybe not for Brassard but if it's Hoff then I think it's a strong possibility!

I hope not. I DON'T get the feeling Armstrong wants to trade any of the big4. Would be counter productive. Kyrou could easily be Hoffman or better. For less money

Kyrou and Thomas are the prospects least likely to move. Replace Kyrou with Kostin and this would probably work, but I think if we’re giving up one of our blue chips we’d rather have Hoffman. He has one more year on his current contract and we’re thinner at wing than we are center.

It’s been reported that Army turned down Fabbri for Hoffman straight up. Why would he then add Kyrou to Fabbri when the return is Brassard?

Ha who said it was straight up? He turned down package involving Fabbri. Why the hell would he turn down Hoffman for Fabbri straight up? That would be insane.

Jeremy Rutherford reported earlier this month in the Athletic that Army had an offer of Hoffman for Fabbri with no other pieces involved and Army rejected it.

Kyrou might become as good as Hoffman some day but that's far from guaranteed. But even f they add Hoffman the Blues won't make it out of the first round this year. They don't have the pieces to beat Nashville or Winnipeg in a 7 game series.

Winnipeg is a question mark. Nashville is over rated and protected by the league, to keep revenue up in that city. Winnipeg had the legitimate talent to be a threat, as long as they get goaltending. Nashville doesn't scare me as bad as them. Nash is blowing their load early. They usually underachieve then squeak in, but had a hot streak last year. Now they will be out of gas by the playoffs.
We'll end up with Nashville, Winnipeg, or Vegas. Make it out of that and we'd likely have a good shot at a final

You have to make it to the playoffs first and I think trade deadline hurt your chances more than helped them. Seems like management felt this wasn't the year to go for it and the team's mojo was hurt by it.
