After being forced by the NHL year after year giving Edmonton number 1 picks, culminating with Mcdavid I say enough is enough. The fact that this team still sucks even with McJesus (who by the way is and never will be Gretzky no matter how much TSN wants it to be true)
They should lose the right to pick in the top 5 just for being incompetent
In fact get rid of the lottery and penalize teams who tank
I love Gretzky and the history of the oilers but this blatant attempt by the NHL to level the playing field with its corrupt lottery is ruining itself.

Penguin in trouble and get Crosby when Ducks were the clearly the worst team
Blackhawk in decline suddenly they win Kane over the league worst Flyers. No way flyers were ever getting that pick. Fast forward to last year the NHL realizing big tv money teams like the flyers need to get better and WHAM from 13 to 2 go the flyers. And Winnipeg fans who felt cheated refer back the previous year

I agree Edmonton has no excuse to be this far out of the playoff race, they were gifted the best player in the world and yet waste away his 3 ELC years. Gonna be a lot harder to win a cup with a player making 12.5 mill..

You do realize that the point of the lottery is to discourage tanking right? Without a lottery whoever comes in last place gets the first pick, which makes it a lot easier to tank

Not mad at all just disgusted at how bad the oilers are and how the NHL will go out of its way to fix them
I th I k what I am most upset about is how the TSN gang has anointed McJesus as the next great one but he hasn't done sh#t yet except skate real fast and score goals that dont add up to wins.
Gretzky was and still is the best athlete to play any sport and I am a flyers fan
