yes the rumors says that's the asking price for paciorety but i see this more like
the price is: 1st round draft pick
+ top prospect center or LHD (to play with Weber)
if the team who receive paciorety need help with cap
we take an NHL contract (cap dump for 1 year ) but the price is you add a 2nd round

Teams will be willing to pay that for Pacioretty. Just look at what a team like Minnesota paid for a Hanzal as a UFA.

As much as I disagree in moving Patch, this could re-drect the organization in a better way. The 2nd round draft picks should help for the future and your cap space allows you to go get a legit #1 C.
