Pacioretty is one of the best snipers in the league. You get 2 playoff runs with him at 4.5, Dubois has 22 points this year on an Elite team.

What you say is fair, but to say his value is double of what Pacioretty's is a little crazy.
29 year olds that are on a really good cap value that have already scored 30 goals 5 times....are pretty rare, especially in these days.

PLD does NOT have elite potential. Elite is reserved for the absolute best of the best. Where does PLD stack up against others at the same age? McDavid, Eichel, Matthews, Crosby, Stamkos, Mackinnon, Kopitar, etc

Its ok to say that CLB would probably not do the deal, that's a fair assessment in its own right, but don't sugar coat it with PLD has elite potential. He could be a really good player and never be a PPG like some of the other guys mentioned. Nothing wrong with that.

Pack-of-Shreddies was rated by NHLNetwork the 13th best winger and 42nd best player in the NHL at the start of the year. He’s also on a 4.5 million dollar contract (way below market value).

But yet to get a decent prospect (that could still turn into a bust as he didn’t even make the team his first year eligible, and Yakupov did). You would have to give up the 42nd best player in the league, a first round pick, a second round pick, and a young winger/centre who is a damn good player when he’s not drinking, but right now he is.
