That Nash trade is pretty bad from an analytic point of view.. Nash scores more goals per 60, but the points per are pretty close. The Corsi for/against are both worse than Craig Smith. Craig Smith costs $4.2M where Nash costs $7.8. Craig Smith is also an RFA. Which I didn't know until I did this research. That's huge. $4.2M means a 1st and 3rd rounder. So drop Fiala (who is literally their best prospect and he's a scorer), drop the pick and send a 3rd to Nash for having to eat Nash's contract.

exo2769 is being kind. As bad as the Nash trade would be for Nashville, the other trades are just Ranger centred so the Rangers offload bad contracts, so the Rangers have enough cap to sign Stamkos.
