Probably the right value, STL would be a contender for sure if they made this move.

MTL would be in a great position to begin their rebuild.

I've tried to look at these "all-in" propositions from all angles because they freak me out... but I'm completely sold right now haha. If we could add Hoffman/Pacioretty and Price we would be legitimate favorites for the next 2 years. If we could pay an even higher price to get MTL to retain 1-2 mil on Price's next 8 years, I'm all for it.

Hate the idea of losing Thomas and let's just say our history of trading for goalies isn't great.... It'd be so easy for Price to just not be as good as in the past.

But, a shakeup is probably necessary.

If Blues could work it out to get Price and Hoffman instead of Patches it would be nice. I'd hate to give up Thomas since he's actually going to be a center in this league as opposed to Kyrou. But if Montreal is willing to retain at least 3 mil of Price's value for the next I years, it might be worth it
