Description
Obviously they're not looking to move McDonah or Zuccarello but the team is getting older, and if they're not in it this year do they look to stock the cupboards? Is that enough, too much, or just right to get both assets?

Tyler Myers is included in the deal for CAP purposes as well as asset management purposes. With the value of RHD, they could look to move Myers to gain even more assets as a rental as his value would be at least another 1st as a rental to a contender in 2019.

That's a bad deal for Jets. Yea McDonagh is better than Myers and Zucc and his eight goals might help a bit. Wanna trade that much, the return can be better.

Myers included to make the deal work Player wise, and CAP wise. McDonagh strengthens the LHD side. I think he'd also be an excellent partner for Buff.

Jets have the assets to give up and you're really giving up a lot of B assets for a couple A assets. I'd have to say maybe there's 1 too many 1sts in there but that's about it.

The Rangers currently have 8 players over 30 years of age: both goalies, Nash, Zuccarello, Grabner, Holden, Staal and Desharnais. The remaining players (14) are not going away any time soon.

Aside from Lundqvist, Staal and Zuccarello, all of those players are on one-year deals. Replacing those names (the remaining five pending UFAs) will come from within the org (kids like Nieves, Fogarty, Chytil and Andersson)..these are third and fourth line replacements, after all. Only one top six forward spot will be replaced, and that likely is J.T. Miller's.

I like players like Armia and Myers, by the way.
