1000x better than spending a combined 11 million on Hutton, Del Zotto and Edler!

None of those trades would go through, especially the AZ trade. Montreal and Detroit say no pretty quickly as well.

Why not

They still have hope for Strome being a high end C for them, Chychrun projects to be a top pairing defenseman, and they have no reason to trade draft picks at this point. All they get is two bad contracts, an overpaid backup goalie, and a good wing prospect (which they have plenty of).

Svechnikov is worth more than the two guys you are sending to Detroit, and Montreal doesn't need both those centers, and neither would require Juulsen.

Fair points but
Dylan Strome was drafted 3 years ago, it seems like they're never going to play him. Chychrun has great potential but he hasn't been up to those standards this season. And Coyotes don't plan on moving OEL so Chychrun isn't going to get that top defensive spot on that left side for a while. "Overpaid back up goalie", that's why I sent Markstrom, they need a goalie and he could work.

Key name here, Evgeny Svechnikov. This isn't Andrei Svechnikov. Don't get me wrong, I still think Evgeny is good though. Hutton has promising offensive potential and apparently he's good defensively even though I don't see it. Reid Boucher was a highly sought after rookie, whenever he was placed on waivers last season, a team would pick him up right away. He's been scoring at a point per game rate in the AHL this season. He's not garbage.

Montreal trade, Neither team might seem to benefit from this at first. But apparently Montreal needs centres. Sutter and Gagner are great two way players. Personally I like Gagner better. And Vancouver clears more cap for signing future superstar prospects like Boeser, Pettersson, etc..

Both Tavares and Carlson will get 7 years each on the open market, Carlson 7x $6.5m and Tavares 7x $11.5m no way is Tavares making more then Connor McDavid Most of these trades are bad for any team not named Vancouver Detroit would laugh at that deal and block Bennings number.

"Seems like they're never going to play him". It's not that they aren't going to play him, it's that he hasn't earned a lot of NHL ice time. He'll get his time later in the season, especially if he keeps tearing up the AHL like this. He may end up a bust, but as of right now, he's valued very highly in the organization. As far as Chychrun goes, saying that he hasn't been playing at a top pairing level so far diminishes his value is ludicrous. He also missed a good chunk of games to start the year. He'll be a top pairing defenseman soon, especially if/when OEL is out of Arizona
