I think the value is there for this trade. Nicely done.

I'm not sure the Ottawa trade changes the position of any of the teams involved though. It's also pretty risky for the Pens. Believe it or not, the Pens may not make the playoffs this year, which would make their 1st much more valuable than usual. That means it's possible that Ottawa actually comes out on top in this deal.

As for the McGinn trade, I'm not really knowledgeable about either player involved so someone else will have to comment.

As an Ottawa fan I would jump on that trade in a heartbeat.

I see what ur doing in giving more for Ott taking Hags but still think its a hair too much? IDK if Flordia trades McGinn after just getting him ?? but maybe he fits here??

As a Pens fan, I'm not interested to see Sprong go away to bring Brassard. I think we should give Sprong a chance to show what he can do at NHL level. He's a Kessel type player and I think he should be very useful for us. Specially after this season.

As for Cole for McGinn's trade, It's a gamble. It could work or not. In my opinion, he's not the answer for our depth scoring problem. I really prefer to keep Sprong instead of.

Well there is no market for centers right now as you can see. You have to overpay and if not then we aren’t a playoff team this year. I don’t know that much about the FLA trade but it seems fair and McGinn should go well with Geno.

I'm not saying he'll be a "Kessel" in the future. I'm saying he's the same style of Kessel. I think it's too early to say that he's overrated. He is a shot machine and he can improve his accuracy in some years. Ok, he obviously can't skate like Kessel. But I still think he deserves a shot playing for Pens for at least 2 seasons. Unless JR finds a no-brainer trade for him. That's my opinion.
