I, as a Leafs fan, think that Tanev would be the perfect fit, but I also think the Leafs are not yet at the stage where they'd give two good prospects for proven talent. Maybe in a year or two, but not yet.

Agree with Doug. My reaonsing Gudbranson isn't that much better than Carrick and Polak. Isn't Gudbranson of IR.?

Montreal has less than zero need for Gudbranson and even Bergevin realizes that.

I would not give up Tanev for Leivo and Kapanen? No Thanks. Tanev is one of the Leagues best shutdown defenders and is on a cap friendly contract for 3 more years.

If you can't do anything with late picks, you have bad scouting staff.
