Not sure on the trade. Swap Montour and Larsson. Swap Vermette and Wagner

Montour needs to get away from Cam. It does not suit them well enough. BM/RC need to spread out the defensive production. Also, Wagner is a righty. I guess I could switch Grant with Wagner but Grant has the better production.

Call me more realistic.. Vatenan can be replaced by Montour. Ducks are in a more win-now mode then others may think and we need younger players moving forward. I see this as a win-win.

Except Vatanen helps you win more than Bozak. You're trading a 20+ minute all situation D with term for a guy who will be a 3c when we're healthy and he doesnt even have a contract beyond this year. If they Ducks add bozak it will be for Futures that the Ducks could recoup in the summer by trading Vatanen then.

For the last time Vatanen isn't going to be dealt for a pending UFA? And Bozak is a pending UFA.

This. It's terrible for the Ducks. I don't think Bozak can be had by ANA for anything realistic. This is a great draft year, so I don't see BM moving our 1st for a rental. Anything less then that and TOR says "no" because they know they can get it at the TDL. Anyway, right now, TOR are in a playoff spot and don't look like sellers anyway.

I think we should get a more long term option by trading Larsson for a young, cost-controlled C with 2C potential. He really is expendable with Lindholm, Fowler and Megna on the left side moving forward.
