Why would Edmonton add a pending UFA?

No and no. Why do you keep trading Hornqvist? Not going to happen unless the return is outstanding.

Puljujarvi, Rattie and a 4th for Brassard ($1.5M retained) - Puljujarvi is Yakupov 2.0, pass. Rattie should be in the AHL. This doesn't get Brassard, much less with $1.5M retention. I don't even want to give anything for this group. Hayes and Grant maybe. Garbage in garbage out.

Comrie and a 1st for Hornqvist - A first is nice, but there is no reason for the Pens to move Hornqvist. The Pens have zero need for Comrie. This is MUCH better than your Dano+2nd+5th for Hornqvist but it is still a solid "no".

I can understand why they would move Hornqvist, mainly to increase team speed. But not for this. No thanks.
Brass on the other hand. They trade out a 3C and get no center back. Who is gonna play center for us? ZAR, are you high?

Id say swap hornqvist and brassard, hornqvist to edmonton cause they would want a winger and brassard to winninpeg since they lost stasny. Keep the return the same though, i feel that the swapped return is more accurate too. A lot better than the last post hornqvist and brassard thread.

Overall, everyone would be moved for the right return. If someone called up Pittsburgh and said 20 unprotected 1st rounders for Malkin... I'm thinking that Rutherford isn't hanging up. But a non-lottery 1st and a goalie that they don't need isn't going to get Hornqvist.
