I think it's because of the continued 1st round picks being traded away and the tight cap...which then results in poor UFA signings since CHI has zero cap space. BUT, I'll do it EVERY time if I can get 3 Cups. It really is the price you pay....just to have a chance...at winning the Cup. TBL and SJ are sending away multiple 1st rounders too. It takes mortgaging your future because if 1 teams does it...you need to respond and each team wants the "leg up"

Going to go ahead and Edit Ward out of your quote because he has been actually useful.

He has played like 2 good games. Save percentage is below .900. We should have used that cap space on forward depth. I have no problem with forsberg being the backup and saving 3 mil.

He has given us a chance every game he started. His save percentage is more reflective of his defense than his performance .
