I'll agree that that's a lot of valuable assets for Gallagher. MTL still turns it down. Gally is the heart and soul of the team. and his contract is amazing for the next 3 years.

Paajarvi is fine. He's a 4th liner who can kill penalties and doesn't make a lot of mistakes. He's also got good speed, which is more than can be said for most 4th liners.

On a team like Ottawa who hasn't had a competent 4th line in years, he's been a breath of fresh air. He's the best option they've had on the 4th line since they picked up Stalberg heading into their playoff run a couple years ago.

He's by no means a great player, or even a great 4th liner, but he's solid, and he's definitely an NHL level player, which is more than I can say for 98% of the guys who have played on Ottawa's 4th line these last few years. Or Edmonton's for that matter.

Thanks for your comments. What would it take to get Pysk or McNabb? Or Rantaa?
