While the values on these deals are not bad at all, I would argue a lot of the logic is missing.
it's highly unlikely Montreal would be buying at the deadline (no offense Habs fans).
Washington could just sign any of the retread goalies that float in FA year to year.
Why are the Islanders giving up a 1st and 3rd to move Ladd when their cap is flush in your post?
Colorado would likely not be a buyer for Lee, their still a bit away before the "final piece" move.
The Eberle deal is the only one that makes sense.
Finally, how are you convincing Duchene, Panarin & Bob (not one, but all three??) to sign for a team that you pointed out had a horrid 2018-19?
You're right it may not be Montreal, but it could be any team looking for a Center come the deadline really. I used Montreal because they have already been linked to Nelson.
Same goes for the Lee trade... Could be any team looking to upgrade scoring and LW at the deadline.
Ladd deal - We may be flush with cash between now and the end of the 19-20 season, but starting in 20-21 we have to deal out a huge contract to Barzal and will also have to resign Pulock as well. That's approximately 15m for those two if they keep progressing as they are.
As for the convincing part, it may be difficult to do... Duchene and Panarin have already been linked to the Isles. Hopefully the promise of a new arena (and full seasons at the Coliseum until then) and playing with an elite talent like Barzal may convince them.
Bobrovsky is the only I'm not sold on, but we need Goaltending and NYI could give him the chance to be a starter if CBJ doesn't resign him.
