Actually, I think the leafs would have to move out a player in a year - Matthews and Marner extension may be more than the 12M (9M + Hainsey), and still need a D.

9.6 mil in space after horton is moved to ltir (if necessary) and martin is gone.

wont be cup or bust either. 9.6mil + marleau traded + hainsey and Gardiner walk + matthews/marner expiring deals is nearly 25 million.
AM34 11mil. Marner 7 mil (more than pasta. pretty fair imho). 7 mil left to bring up a couple guys and sign a couple vets
