This was harder than I thought. The easy part was moving Schlemko, Alzner, Petry and Benn. I do not like Schlemko and Benn because they are very soft 3rd pairing. Petry is a liability in d-zone and Alzner is getting paid top 4, but plays like a 5-6. I liked Alzer the most of these four but felt best to move him and be able to go get a higher quality 3 and 4 D. Nielsen is hard hitting with some nasty to his game, good on PK. Holden is steady eddy with lower cap than Alzner. Andrew Shaw was moved simply because the top 3 RW's are upgrades offensively. Logan Shaw is much cheaper and much bigger. On LW side, everybody wants to trade Patch for picks and a player. MTL already has good picks and Patch's cap hit is very favorable. Should finish this year with 23 goals and hopefully go back up to 30 next season. Drouin tried to do too much, 1st season and Francophone. I think he will be better next season. I decided to keep Byron over Lehkonen and Drouin because of his speed and should still get 20 goals this year. I like Danault in 3rd C spot but he can alternate with Tkachuk as it will be his first year. I did struggle with Galchenyuk as #1 C. For an hour I looked. Outside of Tavares and Statsny, there is not much out there. I was tempted to sign Beagle as 4th line C because of his face off's but hopefully Froese can improve that part of his game.

Good picks and plenty of cap, should Carlson, Statsny or Tavares come into play.
