Why would the bruins want to get rid of Vatrano? Especially for that little

J. Johnson has already stated (publicly) that he wants to go to a team where he can play top 4 for the rest of his career; w/ Chara and Krug he will not get that opportunity in BOS. He would be a rental. He's looking for top dollar to bounce back from his bankruptcy in 2014 before he retires + he doesn't care about winning a Cup. Why would you want his drama in BOS?

I wouldn't be so quick to trade McQuaid. It will be interesting to see what he brings to the team once he's back from his injury. Plus his trade value will go up considerably if he's healthy and producing as part of the team as opposed to ditching him now just because we've been doing fine w/o him. Plus we're doing fine carrying his cap hit.

Vanek is washed up; but in spite of that fact he is still worth more than Vatrano and a 4th. That said I wouldn't give up either for Vanek. I really see this as a lose/lose for both teams.

Because he's a nothing player who would be lost on waivers for nothing. You may want to take a look at his recent stats. He's played in 20-22 games and has 2 goals. He's pretty meh at this point.

I'm not sure if you were the one who did a mock just like this but I personally don't like Johnson as a fit or even Vanek on our team. No reason for either. Johnson isn't "dependable" and Vanek..... why? Cehlarik and Bjork can come back up in 10-20 games and be better.

Worst case scenario is that a top 6 player goes down and someone gets bumped up and the void created gets filled by Czarnik who's earned a better shot this year. He was the least sucky player when he was stuck with Beleskey and Hayes at times last season, so this guy deserves a shot with 2 competent line mates. He wasn't good this season, but I'd rather see him in there than Vatrano at this point.

If All Vanek costed was Vatrano and a 4th then I'd take it immediately. I wouldn't be doing it for Vanek to play on our team, but I'd take that trade and then send him somewhere else for more. If Martin Hanzal was worth a 1st and a 2nd last season then Vanek's gotta be worth atleast a 2nd at this point.
