Those 3 players could literally be out of the league or irrelevant 3 years from now. This would be horrible for Toronto.

I don't understand this obsession with Theodore. He does not fit the style of a d-man we would/should want in exchange for Marner. Not to mention he just simply doesn't make our team better. His 5 million cap hit might be enticing for 1 season but long-term you're giving him 8+ million (a huge overpay for a player of his calibre). I'd much rather overpay Marner.

All have established themselves as useful players and if it wasnt Marner would love to add them

As for Theodore he's a very good Dman on a nice contract. And Theo would make the team better. Look at his point production with VGK and then put him on PP1 with Matthews. Guy would put up 15 goals and 75 points easily and he's 28 thats a good age for a Dman and when you factor 8m vs. 12-13m its pretty clear who you would rather have lul.
