Description
I know it’s an underpayment for TVR, but Fortin could be decent if he gets the fancy out of his game. Jurco is essentially a throw away, and Franson is a downgrade. However, Carolina DOES have an abundance of D-man and could throw us a bone. I mean, Teravainen just got a hat trick in 7 minutes did he not? Kreider isn’t getting moved out of NY, but it is just a thought. Maybe they consider since Panik IMO has a little bit more skill on a cheaper deal. They get a potentially high second round pick as well, which they could flip for something to bolster their roster near the TD, assuming they are in playoff position. It’s time for Seabrook to stop. He can be a healthy scratch evey other game since he has become Slowbrook.

Has Seabrook been as bad you suggest? I thought he would be worse later in the contract but not as much as you suggest so soon. A buyout next summer costs 35m over 12 years, about 3m a year on average....Yikes.

Have to ride out the storm, a la M Staal. Don't want to buy out more than a 3 year contract. Seabrook was slow, now slower. Staal is playing well, just like last season, but not well for 82+ games. Slow players, dmen are having problems adapting to the slashing crackdown. Now softies like Nash are getting to the net. Btw Palhal I know you're not a Nick Rash fan, like myself as you prob know, but man he's been a beast! This is the First time ever, that I've seen him carry the puck with authority, and to the net.

If you read the description, you’d know I did say Kreider isn’t getting moved. And you may be right, that could be an underpayment, but Panik is more talented, just less speed and size.
