Norris contract sucks mostly because of injuries but I’d be willing to bet Ottawa missing playoffs again so I’d take this deal.
In my person opinion I believe Detroit/ Buffalo are ahead of schedule compared to Ottawa.

I don’t see Florida/ Toronto/ Bruins missing playoffs, Tampa is the only maybe depending on how their off-season goes.
Metro also has Devils/ Hurricanes/ Rags/ Isles/ Pens/ Caps who all will push for playoffs and could make it 5 teams from metro 3 from Atlantic.

But I highly doubt both Ullmark and Coyle waive. Maybe Ullmark if Ottawa was to offer him and extension.

Pass. Chych = Ullmark. So Norris + our 1st next year for Coyle (We're on his NTC list btw) is just not it. Until we can make the playoffs again trading future picks is just not the right way to do it and Dorion showed us exactly why.

If Ullmark is willing to waive for Ottawa with a contract extension, Chychrun for Ullmark as a base deal makes some sense. Maybe the Bruins take Forsberg with retention and add a Lauko.

chychrun for ullmark would make sense if ullmark would waive (he wouldn't). The rest just doesn't make any sense.
