Not sure Sprong is a top-6 candidate. His scoring rates are great, but there is a reason he doesn’t get top line minutes.

(Also, I’d keep Schmid for another year since he is still waiver exempt).

I’m not worried about moving Schmid in the slightest. We have Daws who is also waiver exempt and in a larger sample size has looked better. I think Sprong would be a good fit next to Hughes and Bratt. He’s fast, he has size, and he can shoot the puck. Jack and Bratt are going to create space and I think Sprong is a guy who would be able to finish. Don’t think we’re gonna get much better via FA. Any ideas?

If we add a top-line winger...no, I have no idea. Might depend a little on who coach will be and what type of system they will employ. If the market looks like…

$1-2m: Johnson, Zucker, Kubalik, Tatar, Perry

….Maybe Duclair or Beauvillier as speed guys

I wouldn’t move Hathaway he’s been one of my favorite flyers to watch this year and management and coach loves him. They have no reason to move him unless some overpays for him which would be dumb to do for a 4th liner

Duclair I’d be okay with at the right price but I’m a no on Beauvillier. He’s washed now
