- zero deadline moves
- going to miss playoffs but finish 9th in west
- going to draft 16th
- prospects (Bolduc, Dean, Alexandrov) scratched or under 10:00 per game
- Snuggerud back to school again
- Thomas and Kyrou inconsistent, unable to carry the team
- Schenn freefall well underway
- had to move Buch to 2C because the whole middle six is worthless
- none of the experiments were successful (Vrana, Kapanen, Hayes, Blais)
- Hayes added to collection of cap dumps and immovable contracts
- Faulk somehow playing worse than Krug and Leddy
- Sunny mangled his knee prior to new contract
- wasted great goaltending

Idk about you but I can't really think of a worse outcome. It's cool to see Binner play well and Neighbours break out, but that's about it.

Which ones are farfetched? I know they're not all equally maddening. Like the Snuggerud news is a minor bummer. Most of this list is just thinking about if you could make the outcomes of this season worse, what would that look like? I think reality is looking pretty close to worst case.

We knew going into this season that the hopes were to make playoffs with the expectation that they would likely miss. Just a bummer that they're gonna /barely/ miss, and that they couldn't show a direction before the deadline (or that none of the UFA guys could show they had any value).
