Yeah they’d definitely ask and understandably so but I think everyone knows Askarov is the guy after this season. Nashville has to make a deal, and we need this guy. The pick + top prospect is proper compensation and best offer they will get: Gets done on draft day I’m sure.

Saros isn’t a better asset than Schneider was.

Thats my baseline.

Paying Saros 8+ mill until he’s 38 doesn’t add much value in my eyes. Or we could sign him if/when he hits UFA for free.

Countless times on cap friendly you hear about players who will be traded with “extensions” that magically increase their value.
