Either way NYR are in a hard spot. This team as it is isn't good enough to win a cup. Their two best forwards are 32 years old, Chytil can't get over his concussion issues and the window is closing fast.
There is nothing they have in the pipeline to replace a Panarin or Kreider, no matter how much NYR fans want to preach and they all need time to develop.
They need to make real moves if they aren't going to waste their rebuild. Otherwise they might want to turn to sellers themselves before it's too late.
