Please condense whatever value you feel is contained in that Buch offer down into a maximum of 2 or 3 pieces. Maaaaybe four if you have to add another small salary back.

As a Rangers fan, I just can’t see the two clubs trading a player of Guentzel’s ability. To do so, the Rangers would have to give up high end prospects that no GM wants to play multiple times a year and look ridiculous for giving up such guys. Canes probably feel the same way.

I know it’s not prospects but based on what teams in contention for Guentzel have as trade chips, most don’t have a 1st. Maybe Drury does a 1st and 3rd (condition that ECF jumps to a 2nd 1st?). Yes it’s not prospects but those could be valuable chips for Dubas to reconstruct the roster in the offseason. Regardless, I think Guentzel goes to the Western Conference.
