With our defense the way it's constructed right now, makes making moves there not very easy plus most available players are rentals.
I think we need a bit of help in the bottom 6 in physicality and face-offs, currently 28th in hits and 20th in face-offs.
I think a very underrated player in the league. Solid defensively and on the penalty kill. He is currently 19th in the league in hits while only taking 18PIMs. We are 15th in the league with power plays against which is definitely an improvement from the start of the year.

For myself, I'd rather have the player over a 4th and 5th round pick. This is his first full year as a Capital and I think he can grow a bit more. He is also (although he hasn't shown it as much yet) a good hitter and will fight too. I just think he's not on the table to trade but good job on you to notice him.

Everything you listed is why I would like to acquire him. Skillsets like his seem to be more rare nowadays as kids just want to play offense. I would pay a bit more to be honest.
