- although olofsson has been good in the past, he's playing quite poorly this year and on an expiring contract. he has a good shot and can provide some offense, but has regressed from a few years ago
- boqvist seems to be the odd man out for some reason in cbj. he is an impactful player if he can stay healthy. having a better linemate could help boost some more confidence. danforth provides an above average bottom 6 gritty center

It's not that Olofsson is playing poorly, he's been put on the 4th line when he's even put in at all, so there's been a lack of motivation, especially when both parties wanted to move on in the summer. He'll be fine if he's moved, probably giving up too much for him though, they'd probably move him for future considerations at this point

Rangers decline both trades. Rangers have no need for Boqvist since they are set on RHD or Olofsson at that price.

Seems that the Sabres and olofsson are done with each other. I doubt the Sabres would ask for much of anything, unless you want them to retain, then they would probably want something.
