Although the Letang trade might be fair, just wonder if his age, salary and health may be a real worry to any team that may want him. Pens fans would know best, has his play declined this year?
Similar thoughts on the Malkin trade...Fair deal, but three players for a guy approaching 30 with a big salary for 7 years. Might not be desirable to a rebuilding (again) team.

Letang's stats are down but individually he's the same player. He's been saddled with trying to make Scuderi and Cole top pairing players. A Sysyphean task.

Bigger problem with this idea is NTCs. Who's waiving to play in Edmonton or Denver?
