Huberdeau is, what he's always been. What he's always been, is a very good, second line, powerplay merchant. He draws players to him, and makes low probability plays to the middle of the ice. He's pretty good at pulling them off, but they're still low probability plays and they will bite you from time to time. He definitely struggled mightily to start the season, but hopefully his time with Backlund has helped to round out his game.
To that point, as much as I would disagree with breaking up the Kadri line, if we're going to shelter Zary with offensive starts, it might as well be with Huby.
Load up Lindholm and Kadri, I think they look really good together. Let's pump Lindholm's tires before the TDL.
If Hanifin is staying, get him back up on the top pair. The idea of paying him more than Weegar to play under him, annoys me. I also prefer Hanifins size paired with Andersson. It's also working at the moment, so maybe don't touch it.
With Weegar on the left, we need more RD, we need more D period, but Kylington and Poirier might fill in on the left at some point.
If Kylington comes back, should we keep Tanev? If he's willing to sign a reasonable contract, I don't mind giving him term. LTIR exists for a reason.
I blame no one for not bothering to read this brick wall of text.
I don't think he looks awful, but he's just not producing and not getting minutes because of it. There are at least 10-11 players out playing him at the moment. To be honest, I think the 4th line is looking less impressive now that the top lines are actually rolling.
