Description

Part of it is using our expiring UFAs to stockpile picks, but acquiring young-ish guys like ferraro, krebs, peeke to bridge the gap.

Also, from the Taxi squad, theres a good mix of HERE NOW solid prospects, with guys like mitchkov, barkey, etc... still on the way.

The picks are to help the rebuild, but also to serve as assets to address weaknesses as needed.

And while there isnt a guatheir or mitchkov NOW, its a very deep and balanced team with 14 of the 25 players below 25 yrs old or less and only 5 at 30 yrs old or older. Each line is a bit more mixed, with shooters/creative/two way guys then we have now, and defensive pairings have a puck rusher and a steady defender.

Its also created for some of the expiring RFAs in 24-25 to sink or swim (foerster, frost, cates, york), but also plenty of cap space/expiring contracts to keep them if they want.

Its continuing the rebuild while adding tons of assets and youngish players

Even though hes only got 3 goals in 39 games, hes pretty close to .5 pts a game, and the diea of having a Poehling/Krebs/Hathaway/Domi 4th line would drive other teams mad.

4.1mil is probably what he gets in UFA, but its really about having a high quality offensive 4th liner who could play up the lineup if theres injuries, but theres probably some other good options

Maybe you dont like them but Attard has shown far more at a younger age and in his 2 pro seasons than Ludvig or Shea. (in the above, they aren;t re-signing Poulin).

Thats fine you dont want the deal, but its rich to call them AHLers when looking at the Pens current roster
