    Can't. He has a full NMC; if he had a NMC + M-NTC, we could ship him back to SJ, but we cannot. At least JVR, Bozak, and Komarov will come off the books in time for Nylander's new deal.

    I never liked the deal with Marleau. Money could have spend better on other positions like defence. I've done the math, I don't think it will effect the Leafs signing of Marner, Matthews or Nylander. But it might mean Gardiner can't be resigned, and the Leafs will have to depend on their young defencemen being NHL good.
    Leafs really don't need AA, with Aaltonen and Fehr as 5th, 6th centres, especially at the expense of Kapanen. Leivo might be on waivers, I can't see the Panthers trading an NHL Dman for him.

    Oh is Aaltonen NHL-ready? As for Leivo, he's totally gonna get claimed on waivers, so I thought we might as well get an asset for him. I've been told that Anaheim is an ideal landing spot; what would they give up?
