Barrie has an expiring deal and would be re-routed to CGY in a three team trade for Hanifin

Not the true 1C Nashville needs but Trotz loves Pageau and I don’t think the $5x2 remaining (after this season) would deter him

Extends $7.5x8

Isles can get this done without retention but it frees up cap to try and get a Pageau replacement

If either:
1) Pageau won’t waive for CGY
or
2) CGY won’t take Pageau in a deal

Barrie is an expiring deal and has no long term consequences to CGY. If CGY wants to stay “in” it Barrie could play out the year in CGY and try to replace Hanifin. Otherwise than can flip Barrie yet again.

A typical Lou connection and someone who could either play wing with Horvat/Barzal or replace the 3C hole left by trading Pageau. If he plays wing, Iskhakov is the call up for 3C.

Feels about right for a pending UFA with retention. Isles could alternatively waive Reilly and keep Aho as 7D but I prefer Reilly so I’m throwing him into this deal for S&G’s.
