My gut says no, but it's tempting. That Anderson contract looks real bad, and goes a year longer than Laine's. The 2025 1st could be anywhere, and although those are good prospects, CBJ is already pretty stocked up and needs home runs or high end talent more than additional lottery tickets.
It really comes down to whether you think Laine is washed, or in a slump. If he's washed, you're almost better off keeping his contract over Anderson's just because of term. And if he's in a slump, then you're selling low. In both cases, it's to Columbus' benefit to keep him until we're ready to compete, because he's either an integral part of the team or a more known quantity you're less likely to get burned by moving (even if you get less/retain more).
