This is why you wait until 30-40 games into the season to evaluate your team. The Canucks can't afford to make this kind of trade out of a place of panic, especially not at this price for Zadorov and at this stage of the season. Over the next 10-20 games, they need to prove that those first 15 weren't a total mirage.

I agree 100%, but regardless without Soucy this teams depth on D is rough outside of Hughes Hronek and Cole, Myers just isn't a top 4 guy and Zadorov could play those minutes more
