Just curious to see what it looks like

Rangers would have to pay another team to retain on Batherson. Would be nice for them to have Bath at an even bargain and bump Wheeler out of there. Brannstrom would also solidify their defense

Makes the Rangers better now. Batherson's contract could help a lot. Sens rebalance their LHD vs RHD thing a bit and have Kakko as a 3rd line RW. No pressure to produce, Sens already score a lot and that's without Batherson pacing for 65+ pts

I feel like Kakko is just a little too inconsistent for my liking to swap him for Batherson (who is also inconsistent but is a proven top 6 forward on a bargain deal). Schneider for Bran would be good but I doubt NYR would make that swap. Goodrow is being paid a lot to play 3rd-4th line minutes when we have MacEwan who is going to pass by waivers with nary a thought...

In theory it works for both squads... in reality it looks a little unbalanced... interesting idea though!

Kakko is underperforming but still a very valuable asset, and Schneider is worth way more to the rangers than Batherson. They would need to be completely blown away to part ways with a young, cost-controlled, high-potential asset like Schneider

Kappo has little value, NYR MIGHT be able to get 2nd from a team with a few of them, but more likely a 3rd or 4th, underperforming is a understatement.

It's true that it's totally unattractive but Schneider and Kakko would be cheaper than Batherson and Brännström during that period of time...

Yeah not 1 for 1 but the other elements in this deal is what would be worth it for the Rangers (Batherson's offensive skill and getting rid of Goodrow)

The interest for Ottawa is purely in getting a young RHD
