Opening Night

Im still hoping to see Barrie and/or Lauzon traded.

Barrie is 32 and extending him would be a mistake for a team retooling and already filled with 30+ year old dmen (josi, schenn, McDonagh). Sacrificing a young dman for Barrie would be very shortsighted in my opinion.

Lauzon - i just dont like his game defensively. He isnt that good.

Replace them with del gaizo and carrier and call up Gravel or McKeown to sit in the pressbox.

Forward group cast of players seems right but who knows how the actual lines shake out

Completely agree on the defenseman side, with hoping it is Barrie/Lauzon who gets moved. That said, I don't see it happening until the deadline when NSH can get a maximum return, especially by retaining on Barrie.

However, after last night and seeing the first bit of ****emo, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised seeing him in the opening lineup instead of Trenin. There was a good stretch later in the game where they ran the line of ****emo - Sissons - Sherwood and it seemed solid.
