2 Problems here.

1 What happes when there is an injury, there is no cap to call up a player.

2 - how do you get Joseph back in the line up where he belongs and still get under cap.

3 Added - from what I have seen in preseason and camp videos, batherson is headed toward a large bounce-back year. He should be in the top 6 to highlight that.

yeah that's the downside would be keeping Joseph down until an option comes along to get moved, but I'd argue that this is the more competitive lineup along with a better deal for Shane. I get the Batherson build up, need to see stronger defensive play otherwise he has to stay with more defensive players to compensate for his apathy

I would like to see at least a few games of the old line reunited as a 2nd line making the top 6

Thachuck - Norris - Batherson

you have to at least try it.

Ottawa won't waive JBD

Stutzle, Tkachuk, Giroux, Norris, Batherson and Tarasenko will be in the Top-6 and form 2 lines
