Wow, this roster is bad. Nick Suzuki? Adam Fantilli?? This is PROBABLY what the team will look like:
Huberdeau-McDavid-Marner
Stamkos-Point-MacKinnon
PLD-Crosby-Bedard
Verhaege-Thomas-Cozens
Extras: Barzal, Marchand
Toews-Makar
Byram-Morrisey
Pelech-Dobson
Power-Theodore
Hart
Thompson
Levi
Levi could take the starting job from Hart by 2025, but as of right now it's Carter Hart's Cage to lose. There's no point in having Hamilton on this roster. You have younger, faster and better offensive options in Makar, Morrisey, Theodore and Dobson. He's defensively prone and not Hockey Canada material with his soft-ass pedigree. Pelech is a must for this roster. He's a top 10 shutdown guy in the league and that's just too valueable to pass up on. Could see Power moving up the line-up, but as of now I have him as an extra. Aaron Ekblad?! If him and Chabot bounce back, I could see them making this roster, but they've both regressed so much from their values say 2-3 years ago. All in all, your defence isn't horrendous.
Your forwards are atrocious. Stamkos is the best he's ever been and deserves to be in the top 6. Horvat is just so overrated. Coming from a Canucks fan, he's decent offensively, but his defensive play his so overrated. I'd take a handful of players before I would even consider him. Unless Fantilli puts up a God-like year, there's just no way he makes the roster. Suzuki is not Team Canada material yet. I would take Thomas, Stone, Konency, Kyrou and Schiefele all before him. He's not that great defensively, Danault sheltered him during his time in MTL and I honestly would take Danault over Suzuki as well. Danault's proven to be one of the best matchup centres that we've ever seen.
