I'm with ya that I don't want Zaitsev pretty much on the roster at all except for sake of injury...that gets the cap space over with faster. I'm not sure whether there's something larger in the work like Bear or taking on Lassi from OTT with Mathieu, or Timmons from (likely) waivers, but something does need to be done. I agree!

As for the rest of the defense above. Vlasic Phillips 1/2 on the left side.

***EDIT*** Heck, I'll take Tyler Myers as long as we don't have to pay his roster bonus Sept 1st.

feels a little to me like one of the LHD may play RD... surplus of guys on the left in Vlasic, Tinordi, Kaiser, Roos, Phillips, and while minutes in Rockford are not a bad thing, some cycling up and down for NHL games can help too... Might be a rotation that changes every week all year even

Tampa has been shopping Myers since before the draft. Seems like if the Hawks were willing to take him for a 7th, he'd be a Hawk already. His skating is awful. Might be slower than Zadorov (if that's even possible).
