Description

I like the team, but I'm still over here dying on my hill that they need to add one more middle 6 player with some skill - either a RW to play 2/3RW (depending on how much Wheeler has left in the tank), or a 3C that would push Trocheck up to 2RW.

Would love to somehow pick up Tatar but I don't see how the cap would work. His lowest possible salary on EW is 1/$1.5m and the rangers can't even afford that.

There’s no way for NYR to make a trade without moving Goodrow which opens up an even bigger trade because ur paying for a middle 6 winger while simultaneously paying to move a giant cap dump

I’m not talking about a trade, I’m talking about signing a guy like Pius Suter, who is still unsigned for some reason.

If not him, Tatar would be nice but probably out of the rangers price range. Then you start to get into a category of projects (Anders Bjork, Puljujarvi, Mason Shaw), or aging vets (Kessel)

I very much agree. One of the three of Tatar, Suter, or Heinen needs to happen here. I feel like Heinen is the most likely and would fit our needs well. Could play 2RW with Panarin or anywhere throughout the bottom 6.
