I can't see any team interested in Sekera. At least not with his current contract. Oilers probably will have to buy out his contract.

I can't see Strome sign for 5 years for just 3M. Neither Nurse and Benning for just what you offered. For this salary they would sign for just 3 years at most.

fair enough, changed contract lengths - also, idk why people are down on sekera hes is the Oilers 2nd best defenseman and 5.5 isnt ridiculous for a GOOD top 4 dman

Agreed. He has certainly covered the bet at $5.5MM - his is NOT a typical "cap dump" contract like Fayne or Pouliot. This board has some funny preconceived notions about players.
