Washington says No Thanks. The Capitals aren’t trading Tom Wilson and they’re not going to add to Wilson for Nylander. Especially not for $10M Nylander.

The other commenters are talking about Wilson but to me it's Cristall that puts this trade over the line. Washington is entering a rebuild soon and Cristall has the potential to be the center of their new core.

Wilson was just the first name that came to mind that would lower Toronto's cap hit. I'm just tired of the constant drama and the massive cap hit that comes with the Core 4. We're paying our core players massive contracts and all they've had to show for it in Toronto is 1 playoff win. It's freaking annoying.
